Foris Aqua is a luxury villa housing community 25 miles North West of Pune, India. The lush hillside master plan is divided into 48 separate villa sites focusing on a series of rain and natural spring water corridors designed to converge on two central quarries. The community members will share a central community center with recreational and entertainment amenities overlooking the natural beauty of the central quarries.
KlingStubbins has designed eight prototype houses which combine clean architectural forms with traditional Indian family values. The villa designs integrate the natural beauty of the surrounding environment with the built environment, taking advantage of local materials and craftsmanship. Floor to ceiling glazing protected by exaggerated roof over hangs and window louvers open the interior of the residences to the landscaped courtyards. Surrounding water features assist in the natural cooling of the villas and protected terraces expand living spaces to the exterior.
