Kling originally designed this administrative headquarters building in 1970. Today, Kling maintains its relationship with the International Monetary Fund by providing ongoing architectural and engineering design services for each phase of expansion and renovation to this building. Phase I included 1,050,000 SF of administrative facilities and 720-car parking structure. Phase II involved the retrofit of Phase I without interruption of operations, and added 265,000 SF to the structure including two large conference rooms connected by a telecommunications system. Phase III, recently constructed, added 410,000 SF to the facility with 250,000 SF located in 13 stories, a penthouse above grade, and 160,000 SF distributed on six levels below grade.
