The expanded Cheshire Medical Center’s rehabilitation center physically joins the medical center with its neighbor, the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene Clinic. In order to effectively bridge the two facilities, several departments were combined, relocated and expanded. A new “Link” building with its signature entrance provides main access and improved wayfinding. The building, with its core lobby, is the heart of the new campus, giving visitors a sense of arrival and connecting to all of the centerís healthcare services. The new lobby was designed similar to a hotel, where the public arrives via a covered drive-up entrance and continues to their desired destination while having such amenities as food service and retail shops available.
