This project consolidates various Cingular office locations into a single facility and provides the capacity and flexibility for future expansions. As the “flagship floor” for the company, the fourth floor was renovated with a new lobby, executive suite, amenity spaces, private offices, and administrative space. Additional phases included the design of training facilities, open plan areas, a network operation center, and cafeteria. A central “circulation spline” was created, linking public and private spaces. This tactic located all internal support along the spline and created an open environment filled with daylight. Cingular Wireless expressed a preference for a lively and dynamic space that was easily adaptable and created a “branding” concept for the space. This request was translated into a design that used the trademark “Jack” logo and corporate colors throughout the facility.
