The design of Harcourt General’s executive offices involved the renovation of their existing headquarters. The program includes a new boardroom, private offices, open work areas, conference rooms and support areas. Unusual for a corporate headquarters, the existing structure is a neutral background building. This condition places great emphasis on the role of the interior to project the image and values of the corporation that is grounded in international publishing and specialty retailing, in addition to providing the required spaces.
