As one of the world’s largest construction companies, Turner required a design that showcased the innovative and dynamic powerhouse they are in the construction industry. A floor plane of industrial gray polished concrete establishes a style best described as “refined industrial.” Elliptical-shaped pools of light lead the eye to the Turner logo mounted on the wall and framed in a perfect circle. The reception area glows with light and warmth through its glass entry wall in contrast to the darkly atmospheric elevator lobby. Beyond the reception area, the main conference room is entered through a wall of full height sandblasted doors that, when held open, allow flow to the reception area to create a large space for Turner’s frequent evening networking and social events. For client meetings, plasma screen video-conferencing technology is hidden behind full height anigre doors.
