Byberry Mixed-Use Master Plan
Philadelphia, PA
650,000 SF on 50 Acres
Overlooking the Benjamin Rush State Park, the Byberry Mixed-Use Master Plan will reconcile a significant corporate / commercial development with an ecologically sensitive and scenic wooded site. All new buildings occupy the front of the site along Route 1, maximizing landscape views for tenants and screening the parking fields from passing motorists. In addition, the proposed buildings feature small-to-medium scale footprints interwoven with a new “riparian” landscape of ponds and vegetative swales. These features play a defining role in the site design and address several storm-water management issues tied to the projectís proximity to the Poquessing Creek watershed, one of the Philadelphia area‘s key natural resources.
