Shelby Biotechnology Park Campus Development Plan
Louisville, KY
232 acres
Once the home of Kentucky Southern University, Shelby Campus offers a 232-acre parcel including 180 acres with minimal development constraints located in a premier business corridor along Hurstbourne Parkway. A 2001 task force of University, government, and community representatives focused on using the site to encourage the economic commitment of private companies to engage in the advancement and development of University R&D resources. Mixed-use development of technology business space, University facilities, a conference center, and a residential community will shorten the development period, provide early-stage financial support, and create a more vibrant and attractive environment while reducing campus traffic. A public / private partnership will direct the campus development
